POPIA Compliance

We are registered with the Information Regulator of South Africa. Our Information Officer oversees internal compliance, data-handling standards, lawful processing requirements, and the resolution of privacy-related enquiries.

Where personal information is collected through enquiries, bookings, contracts, event coverage, delivery systems, or ongoing support communication, we process that information on a lawful basis and only for defined operational purposes.

Our POPIA obligations include

  • Processing personal information lawfully, reasonably, and in a manner that does not infringe the privacy of data subjects.
  • Collecting information only where it is relevant to service delivery, business administration, legal compliance, or agreed communication.
  • Maintaining appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to prevent loss, misuse, unauthorised access, or unlawful disclosure.
  • Allowing data subjects to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable under POPIA and subject to lawful retention obligations.

General Terms of Service

All bookings and services are subject to our standard Terms and Conditions provided at quotation stage, proposal stage, or contract-signing stage. These terms define scope, delivery, usage, approvals, timelines, payment conditions, and cancellation or postponement expectations.

Where a specific proposal, purchase order, signed agreement, or client procurement document applies, that document governs the engagement together with our standard terms unless expressly varied in writing.

Terms typically cover

  • Booking confirmation, deposits, payment milestones, and overdue account handling.
  • Client responsibilities relating to access, scheduling, approvals, guest coordination, and onsite cooperation.
  • Delivery timelines, revision scope, gallery supply, and final handover expectations.
  • Cancellation, rescheduling, force majeure, and non-performance scenarios.
5

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, copyright for all media produced by IyanaT Production remains vested in Adulation Media (Pty) Ltd. Clients receive a defined usage licence according to the quotation, proposal, or signed agreement governing the engagement.

That licence may cover internal communication, marketing use, campaign use, media release, or platform publication depending on the agreed brief. Expanded commercial rights, resale, transfer, sublicensing, or third-party exploitation require written approval.

Usage rights are not assumed to be unlimited. Where broader publication, media distribution, or third-party licensing is required, that usage must be defined in writing.

6

Insurance & Liability

We maintain business insurance cover appropriate to the nature of our production activities, including public liability and operational risk protection relevant to client-facing assignments and onsite service delivery.

Our liability is governed by the applicable service agreement, the scope of the booking, and the operational conditions under which work is performed. Liability cannot extend beyond losses caused directly by our proven breach, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct, subject to applicable law.

This usually includes

  • Reasonable care in onsite conduct, equipment handling, and delivery management.
  • Commercially reasonable backup and workflow practices to protect deliverables.
  • Defined limits on indirect, consequential, or speculative losses unless required by law.
  • Site-specific compliance with venue rules, client instructions, and risk controls.
